  • Young Women's Leadership Group Develop "Warriors for Windsor"
The Sage Park Middle School 7th Grade Young Women's Leadership Group worked for several months on a service project called "Warriors for Windsor" to benefit Windsor residents and families.

The group made beaded friendship bracelets for the Sage Park Vendor Fair and received donations to their cause. The group raised over $200 and used these funds to pay off student lunch debts at Sage Park, elementary school library fines and a $100 contribution to the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. Yesterday, the girls presented that donation to a very grateful Mr. Perreault from the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank.

Sage Park Band Thanks Community For Support
The Sage Park Middle School band would like to thank families, students, administrators, and teachers who supported the music department’s Little Kids Rock Fundraiser at Moe’s in October. The event raised $225 for the Sage Park music program. The money was used to purchase 4 more ukuleles.

Pictured are students from Mr. Spoldi’s 8th grade Modern Band music class utilizing the full donations Sage Park received from Little Kids Rock. In total, Sage received 5 acoustic guitars, 5 keyboards, 4 ukuleles, 1 bass amp, and a full drum set. This equipment is used daily by students in all grades at Sage Park and has really added to their diverse music offerings.

  • Sage Park Students Participate in National School Lunch Week
As part of National School Lunch Week (October 15-19, 2018), the Windsor Public Schools Registered Dietitian, Heidi Karner, visited Sage Park Middle School to talk to the students about healthy eating habits. Seventh graders spun the wheel and answered questions about school meals and the five components of "My Plate."

The 2018 NSLW theme is “School Lunch: Lots 2 Love,” and it’s about showing off the secrets to school lunch success in different schools and districts. The National School Lunch Program serves more than 30 million children every school day. President Kennedy created NSLW in 1962 to help promote healthy eating and to recognize the efforts of school cafeteria workers.
