A Message from Superintendent Dr. Craig A. Cooke
August 14, 2018

Dear Windsor Community,

It is with deep sadness that I must share the news of the death of Windsor High School Student Isaiah Saylor from a long battle with sickle cell anemia on Friday, August 10th. Isaiah was a member in good standing of the Class of 2020 and a proud WHS student. It is with the blessing of Isaiah’s family that I share this information with you.

Losing a member of their school community can be quite devastating for students and our greater school community. Windsor High School social workers and counselors will be available to provide support to students and staff on Wednesday, August 15 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and on Thursday, August 16th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We ask that students and community members use the main entrance to the building and then proceed to the counseling office. If it is determined that additional time is needed, we will expand the offerings and provide notification from Windsor HIgh School.

We send our sincere sympathies to Isaiah’s family and friends. Please contact the high school’s main office with questions or for additional information.
